*****There will be a volunteer presale on Thursday. Come work any day for a 3 hr shift & shop before the public!****
 
As a new seller, you will be required to register with My Consignment Manager. Once Registered you can add your items to the Sale.  
Here is a list of things that make selling with Merry-Go-Rounds GREAT:  
  • Sellers earn 70% of the selling price.
  • Sellers will price and tag their own items.
  • Checks will be mailed within 2 weeks after sale.
  • Donated items go to local charity
 
Registration will close the Tuesday before the sale at midnight.  All items have to be entered by Tuesday at midnight. There is a $10.00 fee due each sale you participate.The registration fee can be paid thru Paypal or by check.

Merry-Go-Rounds is not responsible for items that are stolen, damaged, destroyed due to fire or act of God, lost, or mistagged. There will not be any reimbursement for these items.
 
All items not picked up by 8pm Saturday, will be given to a chosen charity. We reserve the right to refuse any item that does not meet our quality standards.
 
We will do our best to protect your items from theft, damage or incorrectly tagged items, but we cannot be responsible for these incidents.

Seller Instructions

 

Preparing Items for Sale

 

*We are not accepting any car seats, infant or booster*

 
Clothing: All Clothing Must Be Freshly Laundered
• Hang all items on plastic hangers of the appropriate size
• Hanger should point over the right shoulder of the garment
• Pin all accessories onto the clothing. *Items hung/pinned together cannot be priced separately
• Two piece outfits should be pinned together to prevent separation
 
Toys: All Items Must Be Throughly Cleaned

• Place all loose pieces in bags and tape to the item
• Must be in working order
• Batteries must be working

(No Stuffed animals unless battery operated ie Elmo or computer interactive ie webkinz)

 

Books & Videos:
• Group books by age(board books, picture, early reader) when possible place in Ziploc bag
• Videos must be in original case or clearly labeled
• Puzzles and games must include all pieces & boxes taped shut
• Wrap puzzles with saran wrap and tape closed

 
Shoes : No Holes, Tears, Dirt or Gum
• Shoes must be clean and treads intact
• Tie shoelaces together
• Place your seller number on masking tape inside each shoe
• Place each pair of shoes in a Ziploc bag and tape closed

 
Infant Items: All Items Should Be Taken Apart and Disinfected
• Group like items by age and type and place in Ziploc bags
• Please include a brief description for items grouped in bags(teethers, rattles, bath toys)
 
Big Ticket: Cribs, Playhouses, Bikes, etc...
Clean all parts of the item thoroughly and disinfect each part
• Attach all small parts to the item with a tie or Ziploc bag
• If the item is disassembled attach a photo to it (please disassemble large equipment when possible)
• Attach all instructions with a tie or Ziploc bag
• Pay special attention to cleaning strollers, high chairs, -all food must be removed

Labeling Items
 

Supplies Needed:
•  Computer and Internet access
• 
Seller Number
•  White cardstock
•  Plastic hangers

•  Masking tape

•  Red Pen

•  Ziploc bags
•  Safety pins (No small gold safety pins, no straight pins and no staples)
•  Rubber bands

 

This is how the tag will look once it is printed:
NOTE: If you want to Donate an item that does not sell: please indicate YES on the tag AND Circle it in RED. If you want your items discounted (1/2 Price) on Saturday, please indicate YES on the tag when entering your item. 

Steps for making labels (You do Not need to buy tags from website, they are already paid for):

1. Register with My Consignment Manager (make sure the address you enter is the one that you want your check mailed to). For all seller numbers please use white cardstock. And hi-lite your seller number with yellow.You will need this when you print your tags.

2. After Registering, Go to Select a Consignment. Select Find a Partner Consignment. Choose State LA - Louisiana and Click Find Consignment.  Select MerryGoRounds then Click Select/Register with a Consignment.

3. Sort all of your items by clothing, toys, equipment etc. Sort clothing by gender and size. By sorting prior to entering you will save a lot of time because you will only have to reenter the price and description for each similar item. It has the added bonus of having your items sorted properly for drop off.

4. Once sorting is complete, enter your items into the system.

5. Print your tags. I will email the print code (You should have recieved the print code with the confirmation email); printing can be performed at any time (you can do it all at once or in intervals) . You will need to enter the print code that is provided to you.  Make sure you use cardstock (at least 40lbs) . Once your tags are printed, make sure the bar code is readable.

6. Cut tags along the dark lines. Safety pin above the dashed line on the tag. Pin the tag onto the garment to the left shoulder or the right side (if garment is facing you). See example below.

7. For other items, tape tag on large visible flat surface. Be careful not to put tape on the barcode. Use Masking Tape for Big Ticket Items. Tape 3 sides but not the barcode.

8. After all your items are labeled sort your items by size, sex and type. Rubber band clothing by size and sex and sort other items in bags and boxes for drop off (toys, shoes, books).
 


Notes:

1. Items without tags cannot be sold and cannot be returned to you. If your tags are missing at drop off you will be asked to re-tag them.

2. Shoes only- place masking tape with seller number on the inside of each shoe and place each pair in a Ziploc bag, place your completed tag on the Ziploc bag and tape closed. If shoes have laces, please tie together (do not use ziplock bag).

3. Label Colors: Cardstock -Use white for all numbers AND hi-lite your seller number.
 
4. The $10 registration fee can be paid thru PayPal during registration.
